The quantity of your friends doesn’t matter, it’s the quality of each one.

"That is why it is so important to let certain things go. To release them. To cut loose. People need to understand that no one is playing marked cards; sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Don’t expect to get anything back, don’t expect recognition for your efforts, don’t expect your genius to be discovered or your love to be understood. Complete the circle. Not out of pride, inability, or arrogance, but simply because whatever it is no longer fits in your life. Close the door, change the record, clean the house, get rid of the dust. Stop being who you were and become who you are."

Having a senior moment.

As my last highschool year comes to an end, I must say that time really flies. As I tried on my cap and gown, I thought, “this is actually happening”, despite all the times I couldn’t wait to graduate, however, remembering my first day as a Gr. 8, and feeling very uncomfortable on the courtyard surrounded by newly highschool students, not knowing what to expect. I remember all of us would be in the caf for lunch and gradually getting to know one another. I remember going to Art class not knowing anybody, yet introducing myself to Grace and later on, becoming my bestest friend. I remember experiencing the first student election, and thinking, “wow, I hope I’ll become part of student government”. I remember all of this so vividly.
An then, somehow, in a blink of an eye, I became a senior. I can’t believe 5 years have gone by and tomorrow is my graduation. I don’t know what my future holds for me, because as I begin a new journey, I definitely won’t forget my highschool experience.

Congratulations to Class of 2012 and may your future be bright.
